Gather around, y’all! It’s time for a tale ’bout one of the most entertaining movies to come out of Hollywood in recent times. The Ballad of Lefty Brown is a film that takes us back to the wild, wild west. It’s a story about loyalty, justice, and fighting for what’s right.
The movie stars Bill Pullman as our hero Lefty Brown. He may not be your typical cowboy, but he sure does know how to handle himself in a fight. From his rough exterior and gruff voice to his leather boots and holster, everything about him screams “cowboy.”
The story begins with Lefty and his best friend Edward Johnson (played by Peter Fonda) working as ranch hands for Senator Johnson (Jim Caviezel). When the senator gets shot down by unknown assailants, all eyes turn to Lefty as the prime suspect. With everyone against him, including the senator’s wife Laura (Kathy Baker), Lefty must clear his name and find the true culprit.
The plot thickens when we are introduced to two notorious outlaws named Frank Baines (Tommy Flanagan) and Tom Harrah (Peter Fonda). Baines is especially malicious, and he doesn’t take kindly to anyone getting in his way – even if it means killing them.
